(CFN-Memphis TN) - When sending our young ones off to school, there should be a checklist we as parents should follow in order to ensure that they are started out on the proper path towards a successful educational experience and productive life as growing children.
Mrs. Angela Sargent’s class at Sea Isle Elementary in Memphis TN is being saluted for a magnificent job we at CommonFolkNews have witnessed first hand during the daily activities within her classroom.
Upon entering her classroom you will find it filled with color, learning exercises and activities pasted up all around the room. The preschoolers in her class are never short of things to do or view to keep their young minds busy during the course of a 6-1/2 our day.
Mrs. Sargent maintains an orderly run and well disciplined classroom and is a credit to the Memphis City School system, her peers and parents alike. Classroom activities, field trips and recess periods are only a few of the activities that she uses to effectively instruct a demanding course curriculum.
When asked is there a secret to the success she has have had in the Memphis City School System, Mrs. Sargent states, “it’s all about structure and peace.” Ms. Sargent says that she has truly enjoyed being on "Island" (nickname for Sea Isle Elementary) and that her fellow educators have shared with her a wealth of knowledge and have offered unending support.
Mrs. Sargent has been in the field of Early Childhood for 8 years. Starting out as a preschool teacher in 2000, since then she served as an Education Coordinator for Shelby County Head Start, Director of the Lemoyne Owen College lab school, and Director for the Global Village Child Development Center. Mrs. Sargent is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Lemoyne Owen College. She joined the staff at Sea Isle Elementary as a preschool teacher in August of 2006.
Commendations to Mrs. Sargent at Sea Isle Elementary for a job well done! Keep up the hard work and continue to be an integral link in our children's early educational development!
