In August 2010, the IRS issued an important decision relating to refund anticipation loans (RAL’s) and refund anticipation checks (RAC’s).
Beginning with the 2011 tax filing season more stringent requirements has been placed on tax preparers that is sure to improve the quality of service many tax preparers provide to their customers.
While the IRS has made decisions raising the standards of tax preparers, many tax preparers will undoubtedly have problems with their returns being prepared by tax preparers not abiding by these new IRS requirements.

Tax filers beware! Ask your tax preparer if they are in compliance with new IRS requirements for tax preparers and ask if they are bonded to protect themselves as well as their customers from financial problems relating to the filing of an income tax return.
The IRS states that out of more than 95 million tax returns filed approximately 70% were filed electronically with refunds in the hands of tax filers within a matter of days.
